Video Inspection / Locating

Another modern technological advancement, video sewer inspection has completely changed the approach to sewer line maintenance and rehabilitation.

While this technology has been around for several years, it is only in the last few years that it’s use has become commonplace. Just as video and audio hardware and software have improved dramatically, so also has pipe inspection equipment. Self leveling, color, DVD and mpeg and AVI video recorders have replaced grainy, black and white VHS systems.

Even more recently, these videos are able to be viewed  online. At Apex Plumbing we can provide same day downloads of our video inspections in the field at no additional cost. This allows several people to view it at once, to download a copy for themselves, and to handle larger file sizes than can generally be sent by email. Simple passwords are sent along with the download link so that only intended recipients can view the videos.

Line locating is now standard procedure prior to excavating, eliminating the guesswork and saving time, money and unnecessary property damage.

What video pipe inspection does:

- Provides information about the condition of the sewer line

- Pinpoints problem areas for repair

- Can provide a “clean bill of health” for home inspections

We continue to look for ways to use new technology  to better communicate, to improve the customer experience and to streamline our operations – in the office and in the field.
