Trenchless

The process of sewer line replacement has benefitted in recent years by advancement in technology, and by the adaptation of existing technologies to this field. Trenchless sewer line replacement, or “pipebursting” has many benefits over conventional open trench replacement. Primary among these is a much lower impact on landscape, quicker turnaround times and, (at least as applied by Apex Plumbing) lower job cost.

The video on this page gives a good overview of the trenchless process.

Trenchless – Out of sight, out of mind

Benefits  of Pipebursting:

Minimal impact on landscape

“One piece” pipe construction

(no roots, no offsets)

Lower total job cost.

Conditions that may prohibit a trenchless replacement:

Hard turns or numerous turns

(not common – this will show up on a video inspection/line locate)

Long or deep low spots (this will show up on a video inspection)

This three and a half minute video demonstrates how a trenchless sewer line replacement is done. We have performed literally hundreds of trenchless replacements.
